I really can’t tell the difference

  2. The only thing I’m concerned about is whether or not the new update allows you to adjust tree swaying intensity, now *that* would truly be next-gen.

A lot of blind people in the comment section.

Now it looks like how my “nostalgia” remembers, not how it actually looked like.

I feel like many people don’t see the difference because they remember Witcher 3 looking like this, but actually, it didn’t look like this.

This probably sounded confusing, hope it makes sense.(In any case, the changes were not massive, however, I personally felt the difference, and it was a really good improvement to un-modded Witcher 3 games on PC).

If only my ps5 wouldn’t just shit itself down everytime I tried to play anything graphically intensive.

Yes, I know. It’s probably overheating. I need to clean it.

Have they released this new update already? I can’t wait to play it.

Have nearly 200 hours in the original W3. Textured are sharper but other than that i cant really tell the difference between this and how i remembered it

Except the new update literally doesn’t work for anyone, constant crashes, low frames and a buggy mess. Welcome to 2022 gaming

  9. ProjectNexon15

Reading the patch notes, the update is literally Witcher 3 with preinstalled mods.

How much better does it ACTUALLY look, I like the quality of life improvements like camera mode etc but from the YouTube videos of people showing comparisons I cant really tell a difference tbh

It also crashed every single instance of the game I loaded and I finally gave up and uninstalled it. Not sure how playing on PC is this bugged out right now.

It’s just a shame the update runs like complete garbage on PC. I’ll keep playing on PS5 in the meantime.

  13. On PC it looks pretty great with raytracing, shame its such a heavy game with everything on and also needs some fixing asap

How many CDPR devs are there in this subcategory?

It’s a bit crispier, a bit cleaner and being able to play in 60 fps is great. It definitely looks better than it did on launch and plays better too. This is my opinion playing on the series X though. I’m sure PC players who already had max settings, high frame rates and all types of mods aren’t impressed.

  16. I started the game w the ps4 version thinking it updated on its own but I quickly realized it didnt. Ps5 update is quite a difference especially in 60 fps for all the ppl doubting. It plays and looks much much better than before

  17. Sad that I can’t run it now, had to roll back the update and install my old visual upgrade mods

For console players it’s a noticeable difference. For pc players, we had access to all these mods already and the developers literally are using pre installed mods to enhance the graphics of this game. Only thing is that the pc version runs like crap with RT on for some reason.

What is this lazy shit? You have to *at least* post an image for comparison. Come on dude

Only thing I’m doing the second time around Is just running everywhere on foot. Fuck Roach. I guess i didn’t realize how bad the horse was the first time but it might be the worst horse riding period. Always running into trees with the slightest movement.

I’m fortunate enough to have an RTX 4090. Running the game on Ultra+ preset with full ray tracing DLSS quality and frame generation, the ray tracing effects are really really nice, and I get 90-110 FPS. They need to fix the micro stutters though. I saw a streamer play the console version and yikes at the framerate with RT on and it didn’t even use all the RT effects it seemed.

I think people on console that have gotten used to 60 fps are going to be in for a rude awakening when development stops being cross gen. 30fps will be the norm or performance modes with serious sacrifices to quality. 1440p should be the max resolution target on consoles. Most people don’t sit close enough to their TVs in a typical living room to take advantage of 4k.

Thanks to the modding community that we got this to consoles, PC been on this thanks to mods. I got a feeling cdpr bearly worked on it and it shows how messed up that 30 fps with ray tracing is.. again.. it’s a 2015 game they could have inplamented an upscale 4k with 60fps and ray tracing like they did to the next gen GTA.

  23. RamboLogan

The amount of PC players on here saying it doesn’t look any different because they were always able to mod it to look this good.

    WE GET IT.

It’s a ‘next gen’ upgrade aimed at console players. It’s available on PC sure, but yes the console players are the ones seeing the big change.

It looks amazing compared to its original release. There are plenty of comparison videos to showcase this.

And PC gamers wonder why they’re hated. These comments here

  25. Fat_Nerd3566

not really but it IS better and its free so thanks cdpr

  26. bigswanginballs

Or… what PC gamers saw 6 years ago.

  27. BallClamps

As someone who has played this on PC, it looks about the same.
