They get used while in your inventory when in the gas. No point in carrying multiple masks.
I didn’t realize this until the other day but it makes sense. Everyone would sit in the gas if you had multiples.
Yes, they don’t want you to stay in the gas for minutes
That’s the point so you don’t gas camp like a poon.
This doesn’t happen in DMZ though unless they changed it, you can stack multiple masks,ales it easier to take on the chemist or fish up stuff late game

Something I figured out last night in wz is that gas masks that are in killed enemies’ bags do not degrade even if the bag is in the storm. Example; it was 1 v 1, last circle, they were on top of a bridge and I was directly beneath them so we couldn’t get to each other unless they jumped down. My gas mask had run out but luckily there were multiple bags by me that had gas masks in them. I took a chance and start checking the bags and they all have about half full gas masks that were not degrading. Now once you take the mask out of the bag it starts losing strength so it’s best to only take 1 at a time then go back for another once you need it. But luckily there ended up being enough masks for me to hold out long enough for the other guy to suffocate. It’s not something that is easy to setup but good to know that in a pinch like that, quickly checking a bag may be the difference between victory and defeat.
A gas mask as a ground loot used to also deteriorate in the gas if left as ground loot. So this would make sense no? Allowing you to carry extra is to share it with a teammate, not gas camp.

To all the cry babies saying it’s so I don’t camp in the gas this happened from the first circle closing our team was just shy from making in time.
Nope you’re not tripping. Had the same issues happen to me. Purposely got two gas masks to do a gas rotation and basically almost died to the circle because it used both. Literally both my regular gas mask and my DURABLE one was used up almost immediately.
Does this mean I’m definitely not gonna get the m13 solo now?

You’re not tripping the gas mask can’t be stacked up they all deplete at the same time while youre in gas. You kinda can stack them but you would have to keep an eye on both mask to swap. But stacking self revives would end up being a better option for doing gas plays since the mask don’t last long while in the gas
So radiation pills are better? Or do those deplete altogether also?
