    The system itself would at least be usable with some tweaking. But currently the selection preference is absolute dogshit.

    I think you’re forgetting how bad a lot of things (including looting) was at the beginning of WZ1. Ammo and everything that got dropped was constantly in a big pile that was impossible to select from.

    It is pretty inexcusable that we lost virtually all the quality of life improvements from the last 2 years though haha

    With the current backpack system, it makes no sense that some things are in the backpack and some aren’t. Just have everything in the backpack and if you want to loot then you open the menu. And it should automatically pick up anything you already have a stack of like ammo or lethals/tacticals

    This isn’t the “looting system” this is literally just items dropping on top of one another with poor preference selection. This is an easy fix and would have been an issue (and was at times an issue when) in WZ1.

    The looting system is fine IMO. The buggy mess of items on the ground when someone dies isn’t. Items should all be contained in the opponent bag. If you drop an item, it should be easy to select between items close to one another on the ground. The actual loot system is fine. No it’s not an auto-vacuum system but looting a dead players bag is fine.

    It just doesn’t make sense that it works on a system of what it “thinks” you’re looking at and not what you’re actually looking at. Like you can look at your Vector or a armor plate or whatever but it “thinks” you want to pick up the shotgun ammo on the table 3ft to your left. Makes no sense.

    Should just stick to everything be in the backpack or you should be able to see stuff on the ground near you when you open the backpack menu and be able to pick stuff up that way.

    I mean shit look at the backpack screen, even if you’re looking at an open backpack there is still like 2/5ths of the screen above both of the bags that could be filled entirely with squares and those squares should count as the stuff on the ground nearby so you could tab and quickly pick up what you need.

Absolutely head scratching design choices. “Hey we innovated with our last BR and took a lot of the players away from other games with our new approach… we should undo all of that with our next game and then pat ourselves on the back and never answer the community.”

    Looting system is hopefully still a work in the progress like the rest of the game. But the gas getting you is 100% your fault

  18. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to pick up a different gun to replace my current gun and ended up with the same gun, and the one on the ground is now missing.
