Many crashes are happening on PCs with outdated drivers

  1. A while back I DDU’d my old drivers and installed the new ones -> exactly ONE crash in a week now. So this worked for me at least.

  2. Llama_extinction

My driver has been up to date since launch, unfortunately I still crash multiple times a day

  3. DeeYouBitch

well i am up to date and having more crashes than ever

will try DDU and reinstall see what happens

  4. wicked_one_at

527.37 … few but some annyoing crashes

  5. turkeyjr

I definitely didn’t try the most obvious solution first /s

  6. Doubt it, Im running latest drivers and had a few crashes today. They just need to sort their shit.

I have seen no noticeable difference in the number of crashes I get regardless of drivers. I average one crash every 3-4 hours worth of gameplay maybe? Some people have it much worse, and some people have hardly any crashes at all.

Yea… Just sounds like umbrellas opening to be able to not be blamed for the issues.
My drivers are always, and have always been up to date, and I still encounter frequent crashes.

  9. ElphTrooper

Does this include game-ready drivers? Mine stay updated and I get a couple of crashes every day I play. Most of them report dev error codes and missing callouts.

“a considerable amount” lol. so not all, meaning that game still needs fixing regardless of drivers. thank you Beenox

  11. Westly-Pipes

Seems like a lazy cop out excuse. For the first several days after launch you couldn’t even open the game without the latest drivers, the game wouldn’t let you.

  12. I keep everything updated but I still crash multiple times per day.

  13. Errorfull

Everytime I go to update my Nvidia drivers I experience more crashes than if I rollback to the stable driver everyone talked about. So no.

  14. JBarker727

That’s comical, because I haven’t had a crash since I rolled my driver back to the first suggested one. 522.25 if my memory is right? But come here and see constant complaints of crashes from updated drivers.

  15. SuboBeSchwifty

Big cap. Game literally didn’t let me open it until I updated the drivers and it is still causing frequent crashes.

  16. culibrat

Ok, so what about everyone who has the latest drivers and can only play a game and a half before it crashes?

  17. royman40

Not really I have the latest driver and I’m constant crashing as well

  18. HalflingElf

Why can’t it just work bro?

    3,000 devs 3 years 3 billion dollars

The only reason they even had to make this tweet was because the game had major graphical and stability issues using the drivers available at release, requiring people to ROLL BACK to an older driver TO MAKE THE GAME WORK.

So unless the new drivers totally fix crashing (they don’t), I don’t really want to hear them crying about people running old drivers.

  20. AMD 6800XT user here… while 22.9.1 is mentioned…I think they should recommend 22.11.2

i was still crashing sometimes with 22.9.1 but when i updated to 22.11.2 it seems to run flawless… atleast 12 hours no crash yet

on 22.9.1 the crashed was usually related to certain happenings ingame not always but happening from time to time, upon entering gulag, or getting airstike on your position or standing too close to a Bombcracker Safe blowing up.

  21. WebPrimary2848

Which should be no surprise considering “a considerable amount” of PC gamers do not routinely update drivers.

I’m on a 4090 with the latest drivers and crash every 3rd game or so (not counting “disconnected from steam”), precision airstrikes flying overhead are particularly good at triggering a crash.

  22. Has literally nothing to do with the crashes. Me and all my friends update the day they go up and if we squad in WZ at least 1 person crashes every game

  23. _General_Account_

Yeah that helps but doesn’t fix the issues

  24. Half_Deaf_

I don’t know what makes me so lucky but I haven’t crashed once in the last 2-3 weeks. I’m running a i9-10850k 10 core, 64 gb ram and a rtx3070. Everything overclocked except for the GPU on driver 526.98 which released on 11/16. 🤷‍♂️
