Hello Oldskoolgenius, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

Are you dead set on a prebuilt? Building a PC with modern components these days is really very doable and you can get waaaaay more performance from a PC your built than a prebuilt from an SI.

Please watch the gamers nexus video on this unit before spending that kind of money.

There’s a lot of companies out there and your doing a prebuilt. Your gonna be paying obviously more then you would yourself. With prebuilt i always recommended looking at the companies warranties and support, which is really one of the big things when purchasing prebuilt that many people overlook. You can google like top 10 custom gaming prebuilt and you honestly can’t really go wrong, with anyone them it all comes down to what the companies offer outside of the actual PC parts.

Don’t get a 30 series at this date it’s not worth it

Wouldn’t really recommend Alienware. I would however recommend using a PC builder website and picking and choosing the exact parts that you want and they build it for you for a small fee.

Honestly I know you’re looking at prebuilts. But at this point I would consult the nearest friend you have who can build you a computer and part pick for you. Or ask the Reddit to part pick a computer for you with windows etc and have a friend build it. Todays day and age you lose a lot of money, returns are an issue, airflow is never figured out by manufacturers making the builds, and a lot of stuff comes in with “pre installed” apps and stuff that actually affect the PC as well. It’s better to just learn and start new.

    **DODGE A BULLET**
    NEVER PURCHASE ALIENWARE PRODUCTS

refer to Gamer’s Nexus on youtube for further details

Don’t buy Alienware. They are among the worst prebuilts. Lots of proprietary bullshit, no reasonable upgrade path.

I heard that case gets too hot which negatively affects performance

I second looking into the NZXT prebuilts. Or doing NZXTbld on their website and building your own through them.

  12. Nota.bad price… I heard airflow on them is not that great…. ..looks cool though!!

  13. Hopeful_Sandwich4992

Oof don’t ask about Alienware here

I would search for a computer store who build them for you instead of a big manufacturer. And Alienware is from dell and I have terrible experiences with dell
