A Reddit user has unveiled their own version of the Grand Theft Auto VI Collector’s Edition. The author noted that they decided to assemble the set themselves because Rockstar Games has yet to release an official pre-order bundle for the game. The project combines 3D-printed items with merchandise from third-party online retailers.
The fan kit consisted of a neon lightbox with the game’s logo and a special controller stand, models of which were taken from the MakerWorld open-source library. The user customized the stand’s designs to accommodate the Turtle Beach Pacific Skyline controller. The kit also included a State of Leonidas-themed t-shirt purchased on Etsy.
The community comments praised the author’s enthusiasm and the quality of the decorative elements. In response to concerns about the unofficial origin of the items, the creator stated that he purchased the materials with bonus points and still plans to purchase the official Collector’s Edition from the developers if Rockstar Games decides to release it closer to the game’s release.
