During my first playthrough I just KNEW this was T-Bug, that she’d betrayed us, faked her supposed death, and that we were about to have a sick Netrunner fight (but the fight we did get was good too)

I’ve only read A Farewell to Arms and was debating which Hemingway I should read next. The whole sequence where you pick what you’re going to put on Jackie’s altar made my choice for me.
What are the most late 80s and 90s aspects that influenced the cyberpunk genre outside of the obvious stuff like the rising capitalism or some technological developments like the internet?
