Longtime competitor and commentator UltraDavid has released his final tier list for Street Fighter 6 Season 3. Alex is set to join the roster on March 17, 2026. Alongside him, there will be a major balance patch that will supposedly affect every combatant.
UltraDavid’s tier list splits the 28 fighters that are currently in the game into three separate tier categories. According to UltraDavid, this is an ordered tier list, though he notes that he feels the split between the first and second tiers is somewhat arbitrary while there’s a significant fall off going into the third tier.
Characters like JP, Mai, Ryu, Sagat and Blanka are indicated to be the strongest in the game right now. We’ll likely be seeing plenty of representation from the first tier’s fighters at Capcom Cup later this week.
UltraDavid also talks a little bit about how he briefly considered putting JP and Mai in a separate tier category above everyone else since they feel like they’re stronger than the rest of the cast. However, UltraDavid ended up opting against it since it would make it seem like the game is less balanced than it really is.
Rashid, Dee Jay, Juri, Cammy and Luke are also said to be fairly strong, but players will obviously have to work a little harder to win compared to characters that sit above them.
For now, it’s most difficult to win with Zangief, Manon, Jamie, Marisa, E. Honda and Lily. It’s interesting to note that most of these fighters are of the grappler archetype.
