
Finnish Counter-Strike player Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen has been charged with aggravated tax fraud.
The case has been brought before the Eastern Uusimaa District Court. According to the indictment, the crime took place between May 19 and September 22, 2020, in Vantaa. The plaintiff is the Tax Administration. The case is scheduled to be heard in April.
Iltalehti contacted Virolainen, who said he could not comment on the ongoing case. He said that the case relates to income earned from competitive gaming.
Virolainen is one of the most successful Finnish competitive gamers of all time, having earned huge prize money during his career.
