Though it could also be a mixup with a different game entirely

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is looking to make a big splash on the Fighting Game Community later this year though we still only know around half of the roster of heroes and villains so far.
That may have changed now with a few more characters potentially leaking early for the 4v4 Marvel fighting game.
There are obviously going to be potential spoilers below for what could be revealed for Tokon in the future.
As pointed out on Reddit, the Bulgarian retailer Ozone may have leaked two more fighters, who would be pretty popular picks if true.
Those characters are allegedly Magneto and Scarlet Witch.
“20+ Marvel characters at launch – Spider-Man, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, Magneto and more,” reads the Ozone game description in part when translated into English.
Marvel Tokon is shaping their 20-character launch roster into five teams, and we already know the X-Men team from the recent announcement of Wolverine, Magik and Danger along with the initially revealed Storm — but the Mutants would still fit in well with other groups.
The leaders of the rest of the teams are Captain America, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider.
Cap will presumably be heading up The Avengers team, so Scarlet Witch would be right at home there.
Doctor Doom could be leading the villain team where Magneto could slot in easily too.
While these Marvel characters would be strong picks for the fighting game’s roster, there is a potential wrinkle that puts some doubt on their legitimacy, however.
One of the responding Reddit users in TimYoungJik shared their plausible theory that Ozone made a mistake in the description by mixing Tokon up with Marvel Rivals.
“I’d be skeptical of this,” wrote the Reddit user. “I think there’s a possibility that the description was Al generated and mixed in elements from Marvel Rivals, which has all these characters and maps. That was the prevailing theory about an issue last year when the IGN trailer description listed Dr. Strange as a character.”
The maps they’re referring to are also listed for the Tokon description including Wakanda, Sanctum Sanctorum and Hellfire Gala.
None of those stages have been revealed for Marvel Tokon yet, but they are all in Marvel Rivals along with Magneto and Scarlet Witch.
So there’s some good reasons to be extra cautious about this potential leak and its overall veracity.
There is a chance that more characters could be announced as soon as next week with the Arc World Tour Finals offering a new Marvel Tokon demo, but considering it’s a PlayStation game, we’re expecting they’ll likely wait for a new State of Play or other big gaming event to get more eyes on the title.
Currently, 11 out of the 20 launch roster have been revealed including Storm, Wolverine, Magik, Danger, Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Miss Marvel and Star-Lord.
We’ll just have to wait and see if any of this actually comes to pass in the coming months.
After two closed betas last year, Arc System Works is making some big changes to Marvel Tokon’s gameplay based on player feedback, which we’ve gotten to get a closer look at lately especially when it comes to assists and tags.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is currently set to release on August 6, 2026 for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
We recently put together a Marvel Tokon pre-order and pricing guide, so you can see all of the different versions of the fighting game and what’s included with them.
