Everyone counts 5 players and a coach but 8 members means you can bring an analyst, a mental performance coach, a second coach, whoever. This is one of the best parts of this new PGL announcement because it acknowledges that modern CS teams are not just 5 guys and a coach anymore, the support staff behind the top teams is a real thing and having their travel covered removes a genuine financial barrier that smaller orgs constantly deal with. Its a small detail in a big announcement but it matters a lot more than the headlines suggest in my opinion.
