Indie developer KIC Games has announced a full release date for Rustil: Eternal Labyrinth Castle, their anime-styled roguelike action game.
Rustil: Eternal Labyrinth Castle is leaving early access this month for Windows PC (via Steam) on March 13th. The game first launched via early access in 2024.
Here’s a rundown on the big 1.0 release:
Story Mode
”Within that castle lies lost memories… or a cruel fate.”
Guided by the fairy Kotryn, the protagonist Rustil sets foot into the “Labyrinth Castle,” a place where the souls of the dead rest. As she encounters the spirits of countless heroes and inherits their will, she pushes deeper into the abyss. What awaits her at the end is the mystery of the castle—and a harsh truth carved into her very being.
New Floor: “Ruined City”
Futuristic skyscrapers, cracked asphalt—a strange and alien space clearly different from any previous floor. Countless humanoid robotic weapons, corrupted by the Labyrinth’s magic and running amok, stand in Rustil’s way. In this place where science and magic intersect, the soul of a certain hero awaits her.
New Hero: “Zera Linfa”
“The self-proclaimed genius girl scientist.”
A Machina with a brilliant mind who once developed the “Wyndham” series of giant humanoid combat weapons in hopes of peace. An indomitable scientist who continues to hack the Labyrinth Castle from the inside, even after death.
Zera is a hero specializing in production-type abilities:
Item Enhancement & Transmutation: Enhance items or transform them into completely different ones.
Trap Modification: Modify bothersome traps within the stage, turning them into something else entirely.
Kotryn Armament: Equip the fairy Kotorin with offensive weaponry or support devices.
Visual Enhancements
The Seven Heroes from Other Worlds:
Unique visuals have been implemented for all seven heroes, bringing their distinct personalities to life.
Enhanced 3D Model for Rustil:
Rustil has been reborn with a more charming look! Her face has been remade, and her overall proportions have been adjusted for better balance.
Juke Forest:
Previously just a pathway, the forest has been completely renewed. There is a chance to find rare items, but there is also a chance that powerful enemies will appear.
