Today, I decided to put together a few interesting titles that are currently available at a pretty significant discount. The list includes some of the best indie games from recent years, pulled straight from my wishlist.
With hundreds of hours of gameplay, hidden secrets, and endless builds and strategies to develop, they can keep you coming back over and over again, all for a one-time purchase. When you can get them on sale, it’s even better, as you’re opening up all that fun for just a few dollars!
Steam, as always, has lots of sales going on right now, and as it happens, many of them are for RPGs and strategy games. If you’re looking for your next grand adventure, be sure to check out these great deals before they expire.
ATOM RPG
Developer: AtomTeam
Release Date: 19 December, 2018
Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Android
Steam Page

AtomTeam’s indie CRPG is a grittier take on classic post-apocalyptic adventures like Fallout and Wasteland. As a survivor among the ruins of the Soviet Union following a nuclear war, you’ll be able to develop dozens of different skills and unravel a hidden conspiracy over the course of your journey.
The original Atom RPG is listed at 30% off on Steam until 9 March, taking it from $14.99 down to $10.49. The standalone expansion, Trudograd, is also 30% off, and you can get them bundled together as well. It’s a great way to get pumped for Atom RPG 2, which recently announced its Kickstarter campaign!
The Thaumaturge
Developer: Fool’s Theory
Release Date: 4 March, 2024
Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox
Steam Page

If you’re in the mood for an RPG that’s still dark and dangerous but more steeped in the occult than nuclear fallout, The Thaumaturge is an atmospheric choice that’s been well-received by fans since its launch two years ago.
As a mystic in early-20th-century Poland, you’ll consort with demons and explore Warsaw in a tale that blends thematic historical drama with hellish monsters and folklore.
The Thaumaturge is a very cool game, and until 8 March Steam has it for just $13.99. That’s 60% off its usual price of $34.99, and one of the best deals you’re likely to see on the title for a while. The Deluxe Edition, which includes the soundtrack and some bonus cosmetics, is also discounted, available for just $16.17.
Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure
Developer: Crimson Herring Studios
Release Date: 24 November, 2025
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

Hunter’s Moon is a prequel to 2024’s Sovereign Syndicate, taking the form of a roguelite deckbuilder similar to Slay The Spire. It offers four playable characters and the original game’s steampunk Victorian aesthetic, with a story focus that centers around finding the cure to a new and dangerous plague.
Hunter’s Moon is still fairly new, so Steam’s 20% discount for it until 17 March is a good opportunity to pick it up if it’s on your Wishlist – you’d only pay $15.99 instead of the usual $19.99. The original Sovereign Syndicate, which is more of a traditional CRPG, is also on sale until the 17th, all the way down to $7.99, and you can get the two bundled together for $21.58 to save even more.
Every Day We fight
Developer: Signal Space Lab
Release Date: 10 July, 2025
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

Think XCOM in a time loop, and you’ve got the basics of early-access roguelite Every Day We Fight. It’s got the familiar tactical combat we all love, interspersed with real-time exploration allowing for ambushes and clever encounters. In true roguelike fashion, each death resets the loop with new unlocks to give you a fighting chance the next time around.
Every Day We Fight will probably be in early access until at least this summer, but everything we’ve seen so far makes it one to watch, so getting it now as part of the Hooded Horse February Sale on Steam (which ironically lasts until 13 March) is a great deal. The game is half off its $29.99 price tag, bringing it to just $14.99.
Lost In Fantaland
Developer: Supernature Studio
Release Date: 26 September, 2024
Platform: Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Switch, Android
Steam Page

Lost In Fantaland blends roguelite deckbuilding with small-scale tactical battles in the style of Final Fantasy Tactics, but you won’t be leading armies in this bright and colorful pixelated adventure.
It’s just you in your chosen class against the swarms of monsters out for your blood. Luckily, a smart combo can clear entire groups of foes at once, as Lost In Fantaland rewards clever gameplay and planning.
Lost In Fantaland is usually priced fairly reasonably at $13.99, but until 18 March you can get it on Steam for just $8.39, saving 40%. It’s also offered as part of a couple of different bundles, so you can get it packaged with similar games like Indies’ Lies 2 if you’re looking to add them to your collection as well.
None Shall Intrude
Developer: Aeterna Ludi
Release Date: 21 January, 2025
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

Deck builders are known for their big, dangerous boss fights that can stop a run in its tracks if you aren’t prepared. None Shall Intrude lets you be the boss, casting you in the role of a mighty dragon devastating the realm. Just because you’re powerful, though, doesn’t mean the game is easy – entire armies lead by heroes will be arrayed against you!
None Shall Intrude has a free demo available on Steam, as well as a very generous 65% discount until 16 March. The game usually sells for $14.99, but while it’s on sale you can get it for just $5.24! It’s also available as part of several bundles, including one with Aeterna Ludi’s vampire roguelike, Few Nights More.
Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch
Developer: Ocean Drive Studio
Release Date: 9 October, 2025
Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
Steam Page

Veil of the Witch is a spinoff of 2022 Fire Emblem-like Lost Eidolons. It keeps the tactical, grid-based gameplay intact, but focuses on smaller-scale skirmishes based around a squad of five and a roguelite loop that lets you keep coming back for more.
It’s a standalone story, so you don’t need to have played the original to enjoy Veil of the Witch. Steam has it as a Daily Deal, discounting it 35% off its standard price of $24.99. You’ll have to act fast if you want to get the game for $16.24, though, as the deal ends on 6 March.
Untamed Tactics
Developer: Grumpy Owl Games
Release Date: 28 August, 2023
Platform: Windows, Mac
Steam Page

Untamed Tactics is a colorful tactical battler in an anthropomorphic world. As the exiled general Greycoat, you’ll explore lost islands and seek redemption, but with a twist; the story is being told after the fact, to Greycoat’s grandchildren!
Untamed Tactics is normally $19.99, but you can get it for just $5.99 on Steam until March 9. That’s a savings of 70%, and the game is also part of several bundles with similar discounts.
Card-en-Ciel
Developer: INTI CREATES
Release Date: 23 October, 2024
Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
Steam Page

With its bright, flashy visuals, Card-en-Ciel has the look of a Japanese digital card game down cold. It’s not just another Yu-Gi-Oh or Shadowverse, though, as it blends roguelike deckbuilding with RPG gameplay reminiscent of Mega Man Battle Network.
Card-en-Ciel also has PVP modes and rotating challenges to keep things fresh, even after you’ve completed the story. Try the demo, and then if you want to check it out you can get it on Steam for 45% off until 16 March. Normally $24.99, it’s available for $13.74 during the sale period.
Roguebook
Developer: Abrakam Entertainment
Release Date: 17 June, 2021
Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
Steam Page

With so many deck builders on the market, it can be hard to pick one. Roguebook is a pretty safe bet, though, as its creator knows a thing or two about card games – it was designed by none other than Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: The Gathering!
Steam has Roguebook at an amazing 90% off until 11 March, letting you get this $24.99 game for just $2.49. The Deluxe Edition, which includes all fo the DLC, is $11.34, and Roguebook is also included in Steam’s Ultimate Roguelike Bundle.
The Necromancer’s Tale
Developer: Psychic Software
Release Date: 17 July, 2025
Platform: Windows, Mac
Steam Page

If you’re in the mood for a deep, mysterious story full of lore, The Necromancer’s Tale will immerse you in 18th-century occultism. As a practitioner of the dark arts, it’s up to you to decide who to trust and how to keep your powers a secret as you use them to achieve your ends in this haunting RPG.
The Necromancer’s Tale is usually $24.99, but Steam has it on sale for $17.49 until 14 March, letting you save 30%. It’s also available bundled with Colony Ship, which isn’t discounted but is another creative, exciting CRPG for your library.
ColdRidge
Developer: Frog Collective
Release Date: 28 October, 2024
Platform: Windows, Linux
Steam Page

ColdRidge is a bit like exploring the hex-grid map of Dorfromantik, against the backdrop of the Wild West. As a rugged frontier cowpoke, your job is to explore and collect rare resources, fulfilling contracts within tight deadlines.
If your favorite part of 4X games like Civilization are the early-game exploration, ColdRidge is that, but for the whole game.
ColdRidge is very reasonably priced at just $9.99, but until 14 March Steam has it discounted by 50%, offering it for just $4.99. If you’ve been waiting to pick it up, now is a great time.
9 Kings
Developer: Sad Socket
Release Date: 23 May, 2025
Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux
Steam Page

Another early-access offering from the Hooded Horse sale, 9 Kings is a roguelite kingdom-builder.
You’ll build your city on a small grid, developing defenses to survive wave after wave of oncoming armies. It’s thoroughly satisfying to see enemy forces collapsing in droves, all against the game’s stylishly limited color palette.
9 Kings is half off on Steam until 13 March, bringing its price from $19.99 down to just $9.99. Since games sometimes go up in price after leaving early access, this could be one of the lowest prices we see for this title for quite some time.
Terra Memoria
Developer: La Moutarde
Release Date: 27 March, 2024
Platform: Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
Steam Page

We’ve covered a lot of deck builders and CRPGs here, but if you’re looking for a cozy JRPG experience Terra Memoria could be just the thing for you. With its lovely 2.5D art style, carefully-crafted world, and memorable characters, it’s a game designed to be about the journey rather than the destination. It also has a cooking minigame!
Not only does Terra Memoria have a free demo available on Steam, but it’s also 65% off on the platform until 18 March. Normally $19.99, it’s available for just $6.99 during the sale period. There’s also a Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital soundtrack and artbook, which is 60% off, selling for $9.85.
Shift’n Slay
Developer: DREBOT game studio
Release Date: 27 February, 2025
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

Shift’n Slay turns tactical battles into intense, bloody brawls – think Hard West meets Fights In Tight Spaces in a dark cyberpunk setting. It’s you against hordes of bad guys, but each kill gives you an extra turn. Using grenades, guns, and your bare hands to combo off endlessly, you can tear through the opposition… just don’t be in anyone’s sights when you run out of momentum.
Technically it’s not on sale anymore, or at least not directly. You can still get a 15% bundle discount when paired with the soundtrack, but even at the full price of about $10, it’s still a great deal for what you’re getting.
ENDLESS Legend 2
Developer: Amplitude Studios
Release Date: 22 September, 2025
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

Endless Legend 2 continues Amplitude’s series of strange and wonderful science-fantasy 4X games.
The long-awaited sequel explores the world of Saiadha, slowly recovering from a global flood as new landmasses are slowly revealed over time. It’s shaping up to be their most ambitious project yet, so even in early access, it’s worth checking out.
Steam has Endless Legend 2 at 40% off until 13 March as part of the Hooded Horse sale. The game normally goes for $49.99, so if you’ve been waiting for a discount, now is a good time to grab it, as we’re unlikely to see anything lower than the current $29.99 for a while.
Crown Wars: The Black Prince
Developer: Artefacts Studio
Release Date: 23 May, 2024
Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
Steam Page

Crown Wars: The Black Prince blends Fire Emblem-style gameplay with bloody, brutal battles of the Hundred Years’ War. In this alternate retelling, you’ll manage your castle and troops as you wage a secret war against the clandestine Order amidst the schemes of nobles and knights.
Crown Wars usually goes for $39.99, but Steam has it discounted 80% until 11 March, letting you get it for just $7.99. It’s one of the best deals of the week, and it also applies to the Sacred Edition, which includes all the DLC, down to $9.99 from $49.99.
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord
Developer: Digital Eclipse
Release Date: 23 May, 2024
Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox Switch
Steam Page

Wizardry is one of the most influential games of all time, with practically every modern RPG tracing its roots, ultimately back to the 1981 classic, and most gamers have never played it. Thanks to Digital Eclipse’s 2024 remake, though, you can change that, experiencing the venerable dungeon crawler fully remade from the ground up.
Wizardry is as important to gaming history as Zelda or Pokemon, so if you want to add it to your collection you can get the remake on Steam for $13.99 until 13 March. That’s 60% off the standard price of $13.99, and it’s also available in a few different bundles.
Grey Heritage: Faded Vision
Developer: BTrain Studio
Release Date: 9 December, 2022
Platform: Windows
Steam Page

If you can’t wait for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, there are plenty of FE-inspired strategy RPGs on Steam to keep your tactical skills honed in the meantime. Grey Heritage: Faded Vision feels like a return to the classic GBA titles featuring the likes of Lyn and Roy, but with its own lovable cast and engaging stories.
Steam has Faded Vision for half off its standard price of $14.99 until 9 March, taking it down to $7.49. The game is also available bundled with its sequel, Grey Heritage: Noble Duty, which is normally $19.99 and discounted 15% to $16.99. Both games bundled together are $18.36, essentially getting you the set for just a little over the price of one.
BANCHOU TACTICS
Developer: SECRET CHARACTER, ITSARAAMATA
Release Date: 10 August, 2023
Platform: Windows, Switch
Steam Page

We didn’t realize how much the world needed a tactical brawler in the style of Japanese high school gangs (think Kunio-kun/River City) until we saw Banchou Tactics. This lighthearted tale of delinquent punks with casual style and a devil-may-care attitude has street fights, tough talk, and plenty of anime absurdity.
Banchou Tactics is available on Steam at 42% off until 16 March, taking it from $19.99 down to $11.59. It’s also available bundled with cooking simulator Yakiniku for an unexpected but thematic pairing of Japanese-style fun.
