Xbox is continuing to push the Xbox Play Anywhere program in a massive way right now, and it’s just been discovered that over 60 ACA NEOGEO games have received the “Xbox Play Anywhere” tag on their Microsoft Store pages.
This also means that a handful of these games have been delisted for PC on the Microsoft Store, as they don’t need to have separate versions anymore — one Xbox Play Anywhere game accounts for Xbox consoles and PC in one listing.
The weird part is that despite over 60 games getting the Play Anywhere tag, only a few of them actually have “PC” listed as part of their platforms right now, so we assume more work is still underway behind the scenes to enable the PC versions via XPA. There’s been no official announcement about this just yet.
Here’s the full list of ACA NEOGEO games with the Xbox Play Anywhere tag so far, as spotted by True Achievements:

As we say, there are only a few of these showing “PC” as part of their platforms on the Microsoft Store right now, and they are Sengoku, Blue’s Journey, Burning Fight, Crossed Swords, Aero Fighters 3, and Shock Troopers 2nd Squad. The four PC-only listings that have been removed are Aero Fighters 3, Crossed Swords, Shock Troopers and Sengoku.
It’s probably worth sitting tight for the time being and waiting to see what happens here — it looks like they’ve probably added the Xbox Play Anywhere tag too early for a bunch of them — but if you really want to go and buy the PC versions before they get delisted, that’s your call. In theory, every purchase of these games should soon provide you with both the console and PC versions for just a single fee.
