Powerplex has been revealed as the 14th character for Invincible Vs. His gameplay trailer debuted near the beginning of the IGN Fan Fest event.
Though he’s not aligned with the Viltrumites, Powerplex is considered to be an antagonist within Invincible. This is a character that is fixated on getting revenge against Invincible due to the deaths of certain family members.
Despite being able to project electrical energy, it doesn’t seem like Powerplex has as much of a ranged focus as characters like Atom Eve, Ella Mental or Cecil. However, one of his supers has him taking up a lot of space on the screen with beam-like attacks.
Seemingly due to his ability to perform high leaps, Powerplex is gifted with some good mobility options. We’re able to see during the trailer that Atom Eve could have a difficult time keeping Powerplex out thanks to his dive kick.
Upon hitting with the dive kick, Powerplex is able to continue into a combo sequence. It seems like any opening will lead to big damage for Powerplex.
Compared to other characters on the roster, Powerplex seems mentally unstable. As such, he’s an interesting addition to the roster thanks to his personality alone.
