Hey everyone, following up on the M4A1-S Test Mule, I just finished the sister weapon: the USP-S! I have made the effort to get in-game screenshots of how the materials and heat gradient look in Source 2 lighting. Please comment your thoughts on the steam page too. Much Love!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

USP-S | Test Mule
"Lethality confirmed. Thermal management… critical."
The USP-S | Test Mule is the secondary prototype from the Hansa Technic R&D program that produced the infamous M4A1-S. While the rifle struggled with ballistic output ("98 in 4"), this pistol prototype successfully achieved lethality benchmarks. However, the compact airframe struggles to contain the thermal energy, leading to extreme overheating during operation.
// MANUFACTURER LORE
- Fabricator: HANSA TECHNIC // RENNSPORT (Racing Division)
- Project Codename: "ÜBERFÜHRUNG" (German for Overpass)
- Origin: Berlin, Germany
While Hansa Technic is widely known in the CS2 universe for global logistics and heavy freight (seen on shipping containers from Canals to the overpasses of Berlin), their secretive "Rennsport" division focuses on high-speed composite material testing. This weapon is their track-focused prototype.
// VISUAL ANALYSIS
- Full-Burn Titanium Suppressor: Unlike its rifle counterpart, the compact USP-S suppressor cannot dissipate heat efficiently. A single magazine dumps enough thermal energy to heat-stain the entire titanium unit from base to tip (Deep Blue to Gold gradient). It should be marked "TITANIUM ALLOY // TEMP CRITICAL" for good reason, though the warning stamp is currently pending.
- Brushed Titanium Slide: The slide represents the finalized, precision-machined component. It features a clean brushed finish and laser-etched markings verifying its performance: "HEADSHOT LETHALITY: CONFIRMED" alongside its serial designation: ENG-PROTO-007-B.
- Macro-Flake Forged Carbon Frame: Unlike the M4's smaller carbon accents, the USP-S requires a full-mold unibody lower frame. To withstand the heavy recoil impulse of the titanium slide, engineers utilized larger, "macro" chunks of chopped carbon fiber. This creates a chaotic, high-contrast holographic reflection.
- The "QC" Status: This unit passed where the M4 failed. A bright green "QC PASSED" sticker is slated to be placed on the slide. The engineers accepted the overheating issues because the ballistic performance was perfect.
// TECHNICAL DATA
- Finish Style: Gunsmith / Custom Paint Job
- Wear Range: 0.00 – 1.00
- Normal Map: Deep textures on the macro-flake carbon and fine brushed metal lines on the slide.
// THE "QC PASSED" STAMP
R&D LOG #007-B: "We fixed the ballistic issue; it's consistently delivering one-shot neutralization. But the compact suppressor is a heat soak. The whole unit hits 500°C after two mags. QC passed it for lethality, but slap a 'TEMP CRITICAL' warning on it before someone melts their holster."
