Steam services went down and my loadout went default for a few rounds(faceit thing). Why is the p2000 the default pistol even though nobody uses it?

I was thinking the reason was that the p2k was released with csgo and it was the only default pistol for the cts and ever since 2012 valve never cared or thought to switch it to the more popular pistol
