There are skiers doing flips and tricks everywhere you look on this morning of Day 14 — or, there were. That is because the qualification for the men’s freestyle skiing aerials final has just concluded.
And it was good news for all three Americans that took part, as they have all booked safe passage into this afternoon’s finals.
Connor Curran only needed one run to make it through, finishing as part of the top six. His two teammates, Derek Krueger and Christopher Lillis managed to qualify with their second runs, in 10th and 11th.
Switzerland’s Pirmin Werner put up the biggest score from the first run with 122.17 while Li Tianma of China went biggest in run two (127.50).
