As your console clock ticks past midnight and into Friday morning, you’ll find a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arriving in your game — featuring one of the new event types introduced in Spec III.
Weekly Challenges first appeared in Spec II back in November 2023, and have remained more-or-less the same since (with a little tweak in Spec III). A bonus game mode available to players who’ve completed the main GT Cafe Menu career, it comprises five different challenges to tackle during a seven-day window. Four are standard race events drawn from World Circuits, while the fifth is a Special Event that’s created just for the week — and can be a race, a mission, or a time trial.
Completing these events during the week’s window gives you some bonus rewards, along with the prize money for the races themselves. That offers a little additional motivation to clean up some of the races you’ve missed along the way, or which have been added in updates, with the regular week worth around 1.3m credits in cash and in kind.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – February Week 4 Events
Japanese FF Challenge 450 – Alsace
The chaotic rollercoaster of a course at Alsace Test Course gets us underway this week in five-lap race in the Japanese FF Challenge 450. As the name somewhat hints, you’ll be needing any front-wheel drive, road car from Japan for this short event with the enormous hill; disregard the “450” part, which refers only to a suggested Performance Point (PP) value for a close race with the leaders. Take the win and you’ll earn a decent 45,000cr lump for such a short event.
Special Event – Sardegna Road Course
We’ve got another time trial-type event in the Special slot this week, comprising a sprint set over the first sector (plus a couple of corners) of Sardegna Road Course B Reverse. You don’t need a car for this one, as you’re bound to the supplied Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R on stock Sports Hard tires. The credit rewards are on the meager side and can only be earned once apiece but simply beat the gold time — we did it by over a second on a DS4 pad this morning, so it’s not fiendish — to earn the full 60,000cr.
American Clubman Cup 700 – Autodromo de Interlagos
Another region, level, PP event for you is up next in the American Clubman Cup 700 at Interlagos. It’s another five-lap race too, but this time requiring any road or Tuned car (that’ll be the SEMA Award winners) and again with 700PP an advisory only. Despite the longer race against more powerful opponents, this one’s worth a mere 68,000cr for victory.
Nissan GT-R Cup – Tokyo Expressway
However the 700PP noted for this race is a maximum allowed. You can use any Nissan/Mine’s/NISMO GT-R in the game so long as it’s one of the road cars — a full list of the 14 permitted vehicles is in the event overview — and you can tune it how you like within that 700PP cap. As it’s a four-lap race at Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise, with a monster straight, we’d advise making sure the car has legs and knows how to use them if you want the 80,000cr prize for first place. And good brakes too.
World Touring Car 900 – Trial Mountain Circuit
As usual a WTC race sits in the final, highest-paying slot this week, and it’s the top-dog WTC900. This will see you pitted against Gr.2 cars over a ten-lap run around the reworked circuit, while you can use anything at all within a 900PP cap. That gives you plenty of options, but do take care over the large multipliers for tire wear and fuel consumption; a Gr.1 car will give you the best chance to score that big 160,000cr prize for race victory.

Weekly Challenges award bonuses that increase in value as you complete more of them events during the window, alongside and above the prize money for the events themselves. Precisely what the bonuses are changes from week to week, but all are sent as tickets to your Garage’s Gifts section so you’ll need to redeem them before they expire.
We’re now back to a fairly regular, all-credits line-up this week after a couple of weeks off. If you play frequently you’ll know that’s a 100,000cr ticket for completing any one event, a 200,000cr ticket for finishing any three, and a 500,000cr ticket for the clean sweep.
In order to have access to the Weekly Challenges you’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set of the new-look events on the morning of Friday February 27.
