I plugged my Razer Turret mouse into my PC to charge and went to make dinner. Started smelling wha smelt like cookies being baked. Came downstairs and smelt what I thought was a wiring issue. Turns out my Razer mouse charge cable was malfunctioning and ended up burning a silhouette into the mouse pad. Is this an issue with

B) the micro usb mouse cable
C) the USB port from my PC
