
Women’s Basketball has now won three straight games following a 50-41 victory over Colgate on the road on Feb. 7. This was the second straight game where the Bison held their opponent to under 50 total points scored.
The Orange and Blue were knocked in the teeth early, going down 21-11 at the end of the first quarter. A productive second quarter for the Bison left the tally at 28-22 in favor of the Raiders at halftime.
Bucknell was in full control throughout the second half and led with its defense to secure a victory. The Bison limited Colgate to three points scored through the entirety of the third quarter and 13 points across the entire second half.
Bucknell held Colgate to 24% shooting from the field and 5-of-18 (28%) shooting from the three-point line, while the Orange and Blue shot 33% from the field and 7-of-22 (32%) from beyond the arc.

The Orange and Blue assisted on nine of their 17 made field goals while securing 12 offensive rebounds and forcing 15 Colgate turnovers. Bucknell outscored the Raiders in the paint 20-12.
Only one Bison finished the contest in double-figure scoring: Reese Zemitis ’28 with 11 points. Bucknell did get 15 points off its bench, with eight from Ella Kreuzer ’29 and seven from Desirae Ashton ’28.
Bucknell improved to 9-14 overall and 5-7 in Patriot League action. Next up is a road date with Navy on Feb. 11 as the Bison look to make it four in a row.
