The new Sandisk drives are $2,000 for a 4TB. The outgoing equivalent WD Black SN8100 was $420 on Black Friday, but I got 2x Samsung 9100Pro 4TB instead for $360 each.

This article is completely wrong in saying the new drives are only 5% more expensive. I thought these price hikes are a typo, but then I checked on Amazon and they really are 5x the price.

Who is going to pay $2,000 for a 4TB drive?
