We’ve already seen an interesting collaboration between Capcom and Nintendo to recreate Street Fighter 6 characters in the form of amiibo. While Luke, Jamie and Kimberly get figurine amiibo, the rest of the roster are limited to trading cards — though Ryu, Ken and Terry’s amiibo originally created for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also work for Street Fighter 6 on the Switch 2.
It would seem the Capcom has opted to collaborate with another company to create another series of trading cards for most of the Street Fighter 6 roster. Just like with Nintendo’s amiibo, these trading cards have a fun quirk to them.
Essentially, Capcom is working together with Japanese snack brand UHA Mikakuto to create trading cards that are also energy drinks. Sadly, drinking from them will essentially ruin any collector’s value that they might possess since they need to be torn open to be enjoyed in this way.
There will apparently be 24 different trading cards that can be collected and drank from. They feature Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Luke, Juri, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Zangief, Marisa, Kimberly, Jamie, Blanka, A.K.I., Dee Jay, Ed, Akuma, Guile, JP, Lily, Manon, Rashid and M. Bison (known as Vega in Japan).
Of course, there’s also an additional trading card that features all the aforementioned fighters. Presumably, each character offers a different energy drink flavor.
It would seem that the trading cards stop after the first Season 2 character, M. Bison. This means that there’s no energy drink for Terry, Mai, Elena, Sagat, C. Viper, Alex or Ingrid.
