I think one of the scariest things in COD zombies history is how Maxis straight up cause his own project blue beam aka created his own version of the Biblical apocalypse/second coming of Christ via technology so he could ascend to Agartha and we were his fuckin angels

The difference is that there was no second coming of Jesus, but just two antichrists manipulating and killing everyone till one of them could achieve their goal.
