A phoned in bomb threat to the Comanche Nation Casino Saturday brought the slots to a halt throughout the afternoon.

But after Fort Sill’s Emergency Ordinance Division’s bomb sniffing dog made the rounds and found nothing, the gaming was back on by 5:30 p.m.

Comanche Nation Police Chief John Journeycake said the Comanche Casino wasn’t the only tribal gaming establishment to receive a threat. The tribe’s Red River casino and hotel in Devol, as well as the Kiowa and Chickasaw casinos also received phoned in threats, according to Jolene Schonchin, tribe information director. She said it was most likely a “ghost call” and no suspects had been identified.
