Yesterday, I posted my Port Royal score with my OC safe for gaming, but I did some more benchmarks with my max benchmark-safe OC, and here are my GPU score results:
Solar Bay Extreme DX12: 21,422
Solar Bay Extreme Vulkan: 19,932
So, nothing exactly really high for other benchmarks, except for Port Royal for some reason. Just weird how my core clock speeds shown in the runs are a good amount lower than what others use for the same scores, or worse, but I couldn't explain that. To an extent, new drivers could be the reason, but not *that much* more. Maybe just good silicon and IPC. I guess it's cool that I am at the top 100 overall in Port Royal (#67 as of now), but you could say that benchmark is getting outdated. My Time Spy and Steel Nomad scores aren't half bad either. Besides that, I am probably going to move back to my 5700X3D because I mostly game, and it is better for 1440p high FPS. Will likely redo benchmarks with that and see if there is any difference.
System specs:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X (SMT Off, PBO All core -10, +50 MHz clock override, mobo limits)
RAM: 4 x 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vegeance RGB (CL16 3600 MHz with 2T CR at 1.4 V)
Motherboard: ASUS Tuf Gaming X570 Plus Wi-Fi with discrete TPM module
GPU: Powercolor Hellhound RX 7900 XTX (using OC BIOS, PTM7950 & K5-Pro putty).
Main storage drive: Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850 (80+ Gold)
CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360
Main monitor: ASUS PG27AQDP (26.5" 1440p 480 Hz OLED) (FreeSync Premium Enabled)
GPU OC settings in MoreClockTool:
Core Min: 500 MHz (Min on 500 MHz or 100 below max did not make a difference)
Core Max: 3300 MHz (Realistically, setting it any higher than 3100 makes no difference)
Memory Clock: 2814 MHz
Voltage: 1050 mV (1020 mV is pretty unstable)
Memory Timings: Fast Timings (Default Timings reduced scores by a good amount)
Power Limit: 115%
TDC Limit: 100%
ULPS: Disabled
Fan Speed at 100% for benchmarking
PCIe Generation: Set to Gen3 manually (I have been testing Gen3 vs. Gen4 and have seen no real difference in Steel Nomad and Time Spy, and I feel like my OC is more stable on Gen3).
Peak Power Draw from 2 x 8 pin connectors (shown on my TG WireView): ~374 W
Peak Power Draw shown in GPU-Z: 466 W
Peak GPU Temp: 62C
Peak GPU Hotspot Temp: 82C
Peak Memory Junction Temp: 108C
Peak Voltage: 1.135 V
