Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is known to be an extremely volatile team fighting game. While assists are undeniably a very powerful and necessary tool, they also carry great risks due to the increased amount of damage assist characters receive compared to the point character.
With the right amount a resources, a “happy birthday” situation can easily result in the end of a match. If two or more characters get caught in a combo starter, it’s almost always worth it to just pop X-Factor and wipe out the opposing team’s chances of winning.
Tong on X recently highlighted a clip featuring Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom at a tournament. He declared that this might just be the “fastest single game of any fighting game” for a tournament.
Indeed, the match ends up lasting for an entire six seconds. The team of Vergil (850,000 stamina), Strider (750,000 stamina) and Dr. Doom (1,000,000 stamina) by Chris Redfield, Akuma and Wesker.
Overall, this was an incredible recognition from LivinLegend26. Upon securing a stray hit on all three opposing character, LivinLegend26 activated X-Factor in order to transition into the game-winning combo.
Funnily enough, the original version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 did not feature a “Perfect” win screen since the developers probably thought this scenario was too unlikely. It was added into Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which came into play here.
