We heard from Capcom that Street Fighter 6 had reached the 6 million sales milestone back in November of last year. Needless to say, Street Fighter 6 is doing a good job of outpacing its predecessor, Street Fighter 5, which was last reported to have sold over 7.9 million units.

Capcom has released their 3rd quarter report of their fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. In other words, new sales data as of December 31, 2025 has been provided.

Updated sales figures now tells us that Street Fighter 6 has now pushed over 6.36 million units worldwide. Funnily enough, the report mistakenly indicates that Street Fighter 6 had sold 16.771 million units, but it would seem that the report actually mixed up Street Fighter 6’s numbers with that of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

The Street Fighter franchises as a whole remains as Capcom’s third best-selling series with over 58 million total lifetime sales. Of course, Resident Evil (183 million sales) and Monster Hunter (125 million sales) have pretty significant gaps over the rest of Capcom’s intellectual properties.

It’s also worth noting that Mega Man is Capcom’s fourth most successful IP with 44 million sales total. Though it’s not a fighting game, we recently celebrated the announcement of Mega Man: Dual Override since the Blue Bomber is known to have a presence in fighting game culture.

Finally, the Marvel vs. Capcom series is noted as having 13 million lifetime sales. It’s been over eight years since the release of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, so fans are eagerly awaiting news of a new entry, namely “Marvel vs. Capcom 4.”
