Although Alex is still a couple months away from releasing in Street Fighter 6, we’ve been seeing and also hearing a lot of what the big boy is going to be bringing to the table.

Capcom just revealed that Alex will have two battle themes in Street Fighter 6, and his second one should sound very familiar to fans of the Street Fighter 3 games.

It’ll probably come as little surprise that Alex’s additional theme is a new SF6 arrangement of Jazzy NYC.

Jazzy NYC was of course Alex’s stage theme throughout the Street Fighter 3 games, and now we get to hear it anew with a modern makeover for the wrestler’s grand return to the ring.

Capcom previously revealed Alex’s first theme performed by Japanese rock back JAM Project that’s titled “Go! Alex! Hope is Born!” and is pretty unique for the game as a full vocal track.

Since not everyone seems to be fully on board with that different style of theme, it’s nice that they’re reviving his classic as well though it raises the question why we haven’t seen this for other characters here in Street Fighter 6 too.

On top of his gameplay trailer, Capcom also released a bunch of movelist details for Alex that reveal how different he’s going to be in this new iteration.

AEW star Kenny Omega revealed he performed motion capture for Alex in SF6 too and gave the brawler one of his signature wrestling moves as a Super Art.

Alex is set to launch on March 17, so we’ll still have a while to wait to get him in our hands again.

You can take a listen to the full new arrangement for Jazzy NYC as it’ll appear in Street Fighter 6 below.
