Hi everyone. I'm about to start building my PC setup, and while I'm ready to buy IKEA furniture, I want to put something really special on the main wall. I'm fed up with canvas prints or posters that end up warping or looking awful with RGB lighting.

I saw a local artist who makes pine wood prints with a resin finish (like a mirror) and even incorporates neon lights. Since I see these prints can be customized, the idea is to send him a custom image of Darth Vader to work on.

The problem is that he charges considerably more than a regular print from Amazon. Before I part with the money, I wanted to ask you:

Does anyone have real wood prints in their setup? How do they age with the heat from the PC/lights?

Does the resin finish really look elegant with neon, or does it end up being too bright?

Do you think pine wood goes well with a gamer aesthetic, or does it look too "rustic"?

What's the maximum you'd pay for a custom piece like this, something handmade and not mass-produced?

I don't want my room to look like a boring office; I want it to reflect my tastes and personality. I like the idea of it being something unique, but I also don't want to waste my money if a $200 poster ends up looking the same.

Best regards
