Hello everyone! I recently purchased this RX 7600 Sapphire Pulse OC for around 200 USD. The guy said it was a refurbished GPU, and I just bought it because of the price (not knowing much about GPU prices). I thought it was a steal and was quite happy. Did Furmark benchmarks, and the score came out to 8404 on Furmark 2 (1080p). I used the card as usual for a few weeks.
A week ago, I found a YouTube video from Fabio Pisco, in which he explained that under-volting + overclocking is a must when buying GPUs from AMD, because they are very crudely configured from the factory. I followed his advice and undervolted my GPU to 1170mV (even though 1160mV was stable as well), I also upped the VRAM clocks to 2400mhz, and the Core Clock to 2900mhz, and I set the minimum Core Clock to 2500mhz. I got a score of 8889 on January 6th.
I was happy with the results, so I continued to use the GPU since then. After 6 days, I ran the test again on Furmark 2 (on the 12th of January), and the score came out to 9206!!! I was blown away, and for a second I couldn't believe it. I thought the GPU stabilized at those frequencies and started running more efficiently, so I forgot about it.
And now today, I re-ran the tests just out of curiosity, and the score without an OC + UV came out to 7964. I got scared, and I started panicking that my GPU was cooked. I re-ran it again, but this time with the OC + UV, and the scores came out to 8456 (The average score of a factory RX 7600 is 8429). I ran it again, and somehow the FPS were sometimes touching 159 FPS and then coming back down to 141. The score on my last and latest run was 8980 (with the OC + UV, I tried it again with tighter timings, but it was the same).
The specs of my PC are:
CPU: E5-1660 V4
RAM: DDR4-ECC 1866mhz
GPU: RX 7600 Sapphire Pulse OC
PSU: 685watt 80+ Gold (6-pin to 8-pin connector converter used)
The GPU is in a Dell Workstation T5810, it's running in PCIE-3 instead of PCIE-4 because the motherboard doesn't support PCIE-4. The GPU's bandwidth on PCIE-4 is 18 GB/s, while on PCIE-3 it was running on 17.1 GB/s (after VRAM OC 19.1 GB/s). Also, Resizable Bar is not supported because there is no option to enable it in the bios; however, there is an option to enable 4G Decoding, which is turned on.
(P.S I also disabled ULPS through MSI Afterburner a few days ago)
