SPIDER TIMER

I don’t really blame people who read about upcoming features in an MMORPG and don’t like the sound of them. I mean, I do that all the time, after all. But the thing is that reading about a feature is not the same as experiencing it. Sometimes you read about something and it sounds middling at best, then you try it out and… it actually rules. Or even if you were right about something being janky, you actually still enjoy it.

There’s nothing wrong with having first impressions, but more important is the ability to recognize that your fist impressions might have been half-baked or even wrong. So what’s the most recent MMO feature that you liked a lot more after you played with it? What did you think felt like a lackluster or neutral feature for a game, only to play it and decide that you were glad to experience it?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
