So this is a bit of a late realization for me.
The other day in-game I randomly decided to just walk around the city and actually look at it. For some reason, I had never really visited the Arasaka Tower area properly before. When I finally did, I stumbled upon the memorial — which is also basically a cemetery.
What really struck me wasn’t just the place itself, but the fact that Johnny says absolutely nothing there. No comment, no snark. And that silence felt louder than any dialogue.
Honestly, I’m not sure I would say anything either, if I were him.
What makes it even more disturbing is that right across the street from the memorial, there’s a luxury jewelry store. Graves on one side. Consumption on the other. Night City doing what Night City does best.
I don’t know if this was intentional commentary or just environmental storytelling lining up perfectly — but it stuck with me.
Did anyone else have a similar reaction when they found this place?
