The latest balance patch for Street Fighter 6 gave Sagat and Elena some quality-of-life buffs while nerfing Mai Shiranui. This is just enough to keep things feeling fresh until after Capcom Cup 12.
One of the players qualified for Capcom Cup 12, Kilzyou, recently released a new tier list that documents the current meta after the new patch. Indeed, this is certainly an interesting way to start off the new year.
Characters have been divided up into the S tier, A tier, B tier and C tier categories. There’s also technically a D tier group, but Kilzyou feels as though every character in Street Fighter 6 is too strong to be placed that low.
It’s interesting to note that Sagat has been placed in the top 8 portion of the tier list. He sits up there alongside Ed, Ryu, Akuma Terry, Mai, JP and Blanka.
M. Bison, Rashid, A.K.I., Dee Jay, Cammy, Guile and Kimberly are also said to be very strong at the moment. As such, they’ve been positioned in the A tier category.
According to Kilzyou, the weakest characters in Street Fighter 6 right now are Zangief, Chun-Li, E. Honda, Jamie, Marisa and Lily. Overall, it’s a bit surprising to see Chun-Li this low.
