With 2025 now behind us, we’re approaching the end of Season 3 for Street Fighter 6. With Sagat and C. Viper already available, we’re now just waiting for Alex and Ingrid to join in spring of this year.
Broski recently released an interesting video that has him predicting which characters will see a sudden rise in 2026. He also predicts which characters he believes will crash out.
It’s certainly an interesting time to be making these sort of predictions considering that the Capcom Cup 12 is scheduled for March 11-15, 2026. Traditionally after the Capcom Cup Finals of the Capcom Pro Tour season, Capcom releases a major balance patch for their most recent Street Fighter entry.
The first character mentioned by Broski in his video is Sagat. Notably, Sagat is a combatant that received some helpful quality of life buffs to his kit with the latest update.
Broski has noted that Sagat was already trending upwards before the latest update, so further adjustments is only going to greatly improve Sagat’s viability going forward. Of course, it’s mentioned that players needed some time to adjust to how poorly Sagat’s Low Tiger Shot compares to how the move operated in previous Street Fighter entries.
Following this, Broski then goes into how Ed and Mai might end up becoming less popular in 2026. This seems to be Broski’s way of predicting nerfs for these characters with the upcoming Season 4 patch.
