Hi everyone,
I’d like to get a bit more performance out of my RAM, but RAM overclocking has always felt like black magic to me.

Current setup:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO MAX (latest BIOS, AGESA updated)
  • RAM: 32 GB (2×16 GB) Kingston KF3600C16D4/16GX, dual-rank
  • Current RAM settings: XMP only
    • 3600 MT/s
    • 16-20-20-39
    • FCLK 1800 (1:1)
    • Gear Down Mode: Enabled
  • Voltages:
    • DRAM: 1.35 V
    • SoC: ~1.09 V

ZenTimings screenshot attached.

I know the 5800X3D is pretty sensitive to memory latency, but also limited when it comes to CPU OC, so I’d like to focus purely on RAM tuning.

What I’m looking for:

  • Is it realistic to tighten timings further on this kit (CL14 / lower tRFC / secondary & tertiary timings)?
  • Should I try pushing higher frequency (3733 / 3800) or stay at 3600 and tighten?
  • Any safe voltage ranges I should aim for on B450 + 5800X3D?
  • Recommended order of tuning (primaries → secondaries → tertiaries)?

I’m not chasing records — just want better latency and real-world gains without killing stability.

Any advice, example timings, or Ryzen DRAM Calculator alternatives would be appreciated 🙏
