I, without knowing, bought a workstation CPU to use for gaming. I didn’t fully research the capabilities of the processor I bought, I just bought a high end option. The Ryzen 9 5950x.
I bought this 3 years ago and have always got mediocre frames without knowing the exact reason.
My wife plucked this (Ryzen 7 9800X3D) from my list and I’m excited.
