Welcome back to MassivelyOP’s annual MMORPG awards for 2025!

Today’s award is for the Best MMO Crafting, which was awarded to LOTRO last year. In fact, last year was our first year reviving this award after retiring it in frustration with the state of crafting in the modern MMO genre. We’ve once again opted to include live, fully released MMORPGs launched in any year, as long as their 2025 crafting experience is what’s being judged (this is not an award for greatest MMO crafting of all time). Don’t forget to cast your own vote in the just-for-fun reader poll at the very end!

And the MassivelyOP staff pick for Best MMO Crafting is…

BitCraft

“Could this be any other game, honestly? I mean, yes, probably, but indie sandbox MMO BitCraft’s whole deal is literally gathering, crafting, and moving materials and product across an open world to join with other players’ settlements in unified purpose and attempted growth. Plus, it’s got this whole chilled-out, relaxed, and pastoral vibe that really helps to unwind the body and declutter the mind as the zen of crafting projects takes hold. It might not be for everyone, but if crafting is your MMORPG jam, we’re hard-pressed to find better, even in a year packed with solid crafting MMOs.” -MOP’s Chris

That’s our take. What’s your pick?

How does MassivelyOP choose the winner? Our team nominates and discusses candidates to (ideally) reach consensus on our whole slate of awards each year. The site’s award goes to the staff selection, but we’ll include both it and the community’s top nomination in our debrief in January (here’s last year’s, along with historical winners for every category). Poll options are not exhaustive, so feel free to write in your picks if they weren’t nominated.
