The tag-team fighting game space is finding itself more crowded than it has been in many years with 2XKO and Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact already here along with Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Invincible VS on the way, and there’s another one to add to the list now.

Son Studios previously announced Saturday AM: Battle Manga earlier this year, and now we can see it in action.

The team has now released their first gameplay trailer for Saturday AM showing off a handful of characters in action.

Said trailer confirms Apple Black, Clock Striker, Soul Beat, and Hammer as the game’s first four playable fighters.

We get to see some gameplay sequences as well to showcase some combos, launchers and the assist mechanic.

One of the lead developers may look familiar to some of our readers too.

The talented modder Ryn / WistfulHopes is serving as the game’s lead programmer and technical artist, and Saturday AM will be the first commercial title to use her Night Sky fighting game engine that she’s been working on for quite a while.

of note: this is the first commercial game to use my ue5 fighting game framework, night sky engine

Battle Manga is set to be a crossover fighting game featuring characters pulled from across Saturday AM’s different series.

The trailer states at the end that a demo for the game is coming soon to Steam though there’s no release window for it yet.
