Lately it feels like RAM prices have become a real bottleneck for upgrades, and not just an annoyance.

Expensive RAM → Users delay upgrades → Fewer CPU sales →
Fewer motherboard sales → Modern PC platforms stall →
Components sit in warehouses longer → Total volume drops for manufacturers

From a consumer perspective, RAM alone can add a disproportionate amount to the cost of an otherwise reasonable upgrade, and many people to wait another generation instead.

As long as prices remain inflated, sales of other components will drop significantly. I'm curious to know how many others here have postponed builds or upgrades primarily due to the cost of RAM.
