During The Game Awards 2025 ceremony, Skybound Games and Quarter Up announced Ella Mental as the newest fighter for Invincible Vs. Of course, Invincible fans won’t recognize Ella Mental since she is an original character developed by Invincible creators Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker.
Being that Invincible Vs will feature a unique storyline independent of the comics and television show, it’s implied that Ella Mental will have an integral role to play within the game’s main single player campaign. As such, she’s clearly a character that is worth paying attention to.
The developers recently released new information regarding Ella Mental on social media and their website. As such, it’s been confirmed that Ella Mental is indeed a character of heroic qualities rather than villainous ones.
It’s said that Ella Mental’s powers come from an ancient totem, which allows her to wield the elements of fire, water, wind and earth. She apparently chose “heroism over family fortune.”
“The heiress to her family’s fortune, Ella’s studious and hardworking nature earned her the spot as her grandfather’s favorite,” described Ella Mental’s biography on the Invincible Vs website.
“Soon, she was entrusted with access to an ancient totem — one which gave her the power to control the four elements. Full of energy and determination, Ella set out on a new journey, becoming the superhero Ella Mental.”
In terms of gameplay, it’s said that “Ella is a dynamic and versatile ranged character.” She’ll apparently be capable of controlling space with her powerful ranged options that can lead into combos.
