TLDR: People are excited for MW4 but are forgetting how bad MW22’s launch and post launch were. IW needs to earn our trust again before we get excited for their next game.

MW2022 was the first cod to feature a map in the beta, pull it for release, and give it back to us as “new” content (Valderas Museum)

Teased MW2009 maps in the trailer for it to just be a Warzone POI (nostalgia bait and switch)

The UI was designed to look like a streaming service and not a video game

Started “CoD HQ” which is essentially a launcher within a launcher

Game crash/dev errors when playing with friends on launch day

Poor optimization and performance. 6v6 maps were almost all cutouts of Al Mazrah

Launched without gunfight, the previous MW game’s best innovation

Launched without the perk changes from the beta

Completely removed detailed weapon stats from the game, despite adding a tuning system which would have greatly benefitted from it

Multiple bugs pertaining to the minimap, ghost, and suppressor which wasn’t fixed until April 2023

Season 1 launched with Shoothouse and Shipment, maps that were played to death in MW2019

Season 2 launched with Valderas Museum, a map that should’ve been there at the start

Pictured above is Season 2 reloaded which gave us the first original, non-remake 6v6 map of the game almost 5 full months after release

Once the suppressor/ghost bug was fixed, a new bug which turned regular UAVs into constant UAVs appeared on some maps, which still persisted until MW3 released and even afterwards
These aren’t even my opinions of the gameplay these are facts. I give every CoD a fair shot, but I can’t look past the bugs and this awful support from Infinity Ward.
This game was overhyped and it underdelivered. I seriously do not understand how we are forgetting so quickly and expect MW4 to be any better.
