So, we all know that RAM is abysmally expensive right now. It's probably not going to get better for a while, and I was kicking myself for not grabbing an extra 32gb before prices got crazy. While I was reading up on everything that's been going on, I came across a discussion from a couple of years ago about someone's G.Skill RAM dying, and there was a reply pointing out that G.Skill has a lifetime warranty on their RAM. That reminded me that about a year ago, one of my RAM sticks had died, and I hadn't even thought to check the warranty on them before buying replacements. What's more is that they were G.Skill sticks. So, I put in an RMA request and sent them out, and lo and behold, about a week later, I've received two brand-new sticks of that same RAM, 16gb each. In this economy!™

Let this be a PSA to everyone: Don't forget to check your warranties. You may be able to score some extra RAM (or other replacement parts) in these expensive times if you happen to have anything lying around that was giving you trouble before.
