Conference championship weekend delivered, and now we all wait for the final rankings from the College Football Playoff selection committee.

One thing that won’t be up for grabs is which team will land at No. 1 in the final iteration of the rankings Sunday, as No. 2 Indiana pulled off an upset of No. 1 Ohio State in the Big Ten title game for its first conference title since 1967. The tough win essentially locks up the top seed and a Rose Bowl trip for the Hoosiers, but the Buckeyes won’t likely slip too far since it’s their first loss of the season.

The Buckeyes had a chance to tie the game with just over two minutes left, but OSU kicker Jayden Fielding hooked a 27-yard field goal attempt and Indiana held on for a 13-10 win.

The championship game in Indianapolis wasn’t exactly the Heisman showcase it was billed to be coming in, as both Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State QB Julian Sayin struggled for much of the contest against the two top-tier defenses. But they both showed flashes in the low-scoring slugfest. Mendoza finish 15-of-23 passing for 222 yards, 1 TD and 1 interception. Sayin finished 21-of-29 passing for 258 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

The Hoosiers’ win is the capper on an undefeated regular season, and just the third conference championship in school history.

In the other action on Saturday, No. 4 Texas Tech’s defense continued its dominance in the Big 12 title game, badgering No. 11 BYU all game long in a 34-7 rout. The Red Raiders held the Cougars to 200 total yards (90 of which came on the opening drive) and forced four second-half turnovers in the win.

In the afternoon window, No. 4 Georgia manhandled No. 9 Alabama in the SEC title game in a result that could potentially leave the Tide out of the College Football Playoff.

In the other night game, unranked Duke pulled off an OT shocker over No. 17 Virginia in a game that could leave the ACC out of the CFP altogether. The Blue Devils came into Saturday with five losses, including defeats to Illinois, Tulane, Georgia Tech, UConn and Virginia. No. 20 Tulane locked up a spot Friday by winning the American title and No. 25 James Madison kept its hopes alive with a win in the Sun Belt title game. The Dukes are likely going to make the CFP field after the win by Duke.

The only hope left for the ACC now is Miami backdooring into the field thanks to a stunning flop in the SEC title game by Alabama.

Here’s how it all played out on Saturday:
