The updates (which will be free of charge) will add new ball types, evolutions, characters, and buildings, expanding the game beyond what’s possible in its current form.

The first of these updates releases in January, with a further two coming in April and July.

Ball X Pit released in October and earned itself high praise from critics and players alike. Its clever design and constant drip-feeding of new features and things to do has gone down extremely well, and it’s become one of the year’s sleeper hits.

As big fans of the game, we’re really glad to see it find success, and that there’s more ball-flinging goodness on the way throughout 2026.
