Was very happy with this win, but looking back on gameplay is very telling, and I definitely have areas to work on. Currently trying to hot drop and go for higher kills, while staying near the edge of the map because I prefer the POIs because it’s more open with less cover with high likelihood or circle pulling away, and therefore less camping potential.
For one, I’m too reliant on the heartbeat sensor. It slows my gameplay massively, but at the same time it gives a lot of valuable information, so it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation. I’m trying to implement vehicle use more to force my gameplay to speed up.
My accuracy was definitely questionable on this game also, I promise it’s usually better 😅 The 50/50 near the farmland buy station was painful to rewatch, but luck was on my side there as it often has to be in a high kill game. My movement definitely bailed me out too.
For kill number 13, I wasted a good couple of minutes waiting for him to exit the building and rotate. I can definitely work on confidence in pushing people, because waiting for him to rotate cost me a lot of time.
But there’s a lot of positives I take too. My game sense is good, and I generally take angles and work on getting in advantageous positions before committing to gunfights. My movement is in a good place too, which helped in a couple of the gunfights for sure.
If I have one tip for less experience players who want to chase high kill games: Avoid Downtown and Promenade East. These areas are riddled with rooftops with only 1 or 2 ways up, and people often watch ziplines or place bouncing betties. You’ll likely end up wasting a lot of time here just to get one kill, and you’re fighting at a big disadvantage.
