By the very nature of fighting games, some characters and moves will simply end up being better than others. Of course, it’s typical for the really good moves to become “annoying” to those that have to deal with them all the time.
It would seem that Street Fighter 6 is no exception to this. In his latest video, Broski discussed some of the annoying moves in Street Fighter 6 and how to best deal with them.
Of course, the first move that comes up in the video is Mai Shiranui’s Overdrive fan projectile. Broski himself believes that this could potentially be the strongest special move in Street Fighter 6 due to how it allows Mai to steal multiple turns to do whatever she wants.
While a Perfect Parry is a strong option a lot of the time, Broski notes that there’s still too much variability in what Mai can do after tossing this thing out. As such, Broski recommends taking advantage of moves that also move the character forward after a successful Perfect Parry against the projectile.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that there isn’t really a full-proof that’ll counter Mai every single time. The character is considered to be a top tier for a reason, after all.
After that, Broski begins to talk about moves like Ryu’s Hashogeki, JP’s command grab, M. Bison’s Double Knee Press and other moves that the community has deemed as being “annoying” to deal with.
