One common defense I keep seeing people bring up to justify liking the new COD games and why people shouldn't be so critical of them is because they're the "best game since 2019 or what came after."
For some that might be some "huge win." But for others like me it's not and never will be.
For some of us there are way more problems with the modern games than just SBMM and the goofy skins. Just because those were the most talked about ones didn't mean they were the only ones.
The movement, always online, greedy mtxs, inconsistent TTK/TTD warzone infestation if Campaign and Zombies, etc are also issues that caused some to fall out with COD starting in 2019.
We're not going to let all this slide and lower our standards just because whoever decided to suddenly address SBMM coincidentally when there's a proper competitor.
We want as much of the pre 2019 experience as possible in Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Nothing less
If you got into COD starting in 2019 or have decided to settle for less, or think there's nothing genuinely wrong with modern COD that's fine. But don't try to gaslight us by suggesting we're overreacting or don't know what we're talking about.
The criticism didn't start this year and everyone isn't just judging the latest game on it's acid trip campaign.
