FAV|Moke and DFM|Nauman recently teamed up to rate the projectiles of Street Fighter 6, resulting in a unique type of tier list. Character projectiles have been arranged into the S, A, B, C and D tier categories.

It’s interesting to note that even C. Viper’s Seismic Hammer found itself being rated due to its ability to technically zone opponents out. Of course, it’s probably the worst zoning move in the game as C. Viper is primarily intended to be an aggressive character.

Sadly, it would seem that Sagat’s projectile are only a little bit better than C. Viper’s Seismic Hammer in Street Fighter 6. Both characters have been positioned in the D tier group. Indeed, Sagat’s Tiger Shots have fallen off quite a bit since the Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4 days.

The best zoning projectiles in the game are said to belong to the likes of Guile, Akuma, Mai, JP, Chun-Li and Dhalsim. It’s interesting to note that Mai’s projectiles will often lose to other projectiles in zoning battles, but it’s potential as a pressure tool is unmatched in Street Fighter 6.

Ryu, Dee Jay and A.K.I. are also said to have very effective projectiles. They’ve been rated as having A tier projectiles, right under the aforementioned S tier projectile tools.

Of course, a character having a weak projectile does not necessarily equate to them being a weak character. Ed’s projectile is said to be a B tier tool, but Ed himself is often looked at as one of the best characters in Street Fighter 6 right now.
