Okay, so I haven’t played Cyberpunk 2077 since launch and I’m finally getting back into it now that the game’s had some updates. But… did I miss something? I swear I remember there being this massive twist where V wasn’t actually V at all. Like, V was a construct that took over someone else’s mind a guy named Jace Kavanagh, some netrunner who had his mind hijacked by an AI or something, and V had no memory of it. I think there was even a choice at the end where you either sever the connection or merge with the original mind or something?
But now that I’m back in the game, there’s no mention of this. Was this a secret ending or something? Or did they scrap it in later updates? I swear, I played this part back in the day, but now it’s like it never existed. Did anyone else play through this and remember it, or am I just totally off-base here?
